Ernest Race industrial chair BA23, Race Furniture Ltd, 1950s-60s
Authentic vintage chair from Race Furniture Ltd's BA series, bearing the following manufacturer's marks (front legs BA22, rear legs BA21, underside BA23) and an embossed "REGD DESIGN B3" stamp. Black tubular steel frame with a molded plywood seat and backrest, upholstered in black faux leather/Skai. The upholstery shows significant wear and tear, telling the story of the piece's decades-long history. One screw is missing from the backrest. An honest testament to British post-war furniture production.
